Duke’s Waikiki – A cool place to chill on a balmy Hawaiian night

After a beachy day of sun, sand and surf, my mates and I like to chill at the ‘Barefoot Bar’ – the other part of Duke’s, right on the beach.

It’s nice and laid-back, and also a great place for people-watching…  It also has a good selection of pupus – though my only favourites are only a couple…

The Hawaiian Pizza – macadamia nut pesto with Canadian bacon and pineapple and Panko Crusted Calamari strips with tropical cocktail sauce are never a letdown.

Washed down with the Dig Me Daiquiri – passion fruit juice, strawberries, lemon and lime juices blended with rum, Mango-Rita – Herradura Tequila, mango, lime and Triple Sec, or the local beer; it’s a great closing after a nice day of sun, sand and surf.
